The facts are startling:
- In 2018, active shooter events in the US have already claimed the lives of 209 and wounded 500
- So far this year, the US has averaged one school shooting every week
- Since 2000, active shooter incidents have increased 96%
Most Americans read statistics like these and become fearful. But there's something YOU can do to help save lives and empower yourself. During this Part 2 presentation about Active Shooter events, Sgt. Daniel Gomes will teach proven first aid techniques that can be administered with everyday objects available at your office, car and home such as a t-shirt, scarf and pen. You'll also learn about the items a "real" first-aid kit should include that could mean the difference between life and death in an active shooter incident.
Join IREM - empower yourself and learn how YOU could save a life!
Participants should dress comfortably as this will be an active participant event. Please bring an old t-shirt that can be cut and a pair of household scissors with you to the event.
Reminder: all CPM, CPM Candidate, ACoM and ARM members are required to attend two luncheons per year to maintain membership status.
